BILL COOPER ANNOUNCES HIS RE-ELECTION TO THE SANTA CLARITA VALLEY WATER BOARD

March 17th, 2022 – Santa Clarita, California: Today I am announcing my candidacy for Re-Election to the Santa Clarita Valley Water Board.

With over 40 years of experience, I have managed some of the largest water treatment plants in Southern California and the United States. I will continue to be a major asset for our valley when it comes to our water supply.

I served as the inaugural President of the newly formed SCV Water Agency for two years. Prior to the formation of the new agency, I served on the previous CLWA Board for several terms and was Board President for five years. 

In 2018, I played a key role in bringing together all three of the Santa Clarita Water agencies to form one agency, thereby saving over time, millions of dollars for the residents of Santa Clarita. 

Having moved to the Santa Clarita Valley in 1972, I have seen this valley grow and prosper. My wife Jean, and I raised our family and our children are now raising their families here as it’s a wonderful place to live.

One of the key factors of what makes our quality of life so valuable is the availability of a clean and abundant supply of water. Providing that reliable supply of water has been my main goal during the years that I have served on the Water Board. It has also been my commitment to see that our Water Agency is well run and meeting the needs of our community.

My entire career has been in water resources and operations and I believe this experience and education has provided me with the ability to help plan and understand the importance of responsible water management.

That is why I am running for re-election to the Water Board to insure that we have a continued supply of water to maintain our quality of life. I hope that you will support me in my re-election bid to the Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency Board.
